Do you know how to test your car battery?

Your car's battery is what provides that initial burst of power to start the engine. The battery also powers the vehicle's lights, infotainment, heating and cooling systems. When the battery gets to a voltage level that's less than 12.6, your car won't start.

It is a good idea to test your battery once a month. If you live in a cold place or park outside, check it weekly. To do this, use a voltage meter on a low voltage setting. Connect the black probe to the black terminal and the red probe to the red terminal.

Come visit us at Audi Stevens Creek. Our service center is located in San Jose, CA, and we'll do a battery test for you. If your battery has too low of a voltage or low cold cranking amps, we offer battery replacements for all types of vehicles.
